Pastorale Bleue
The Pastorale Bleue jacket tells a story of slow landscapes, daily gestures, and time flowing without hurry.
The Fabric
The inserts are made from toile de Jouy, sourced from vintage pillowcases. Toile de Jouy is a cotton fabric traditionally used in interior decor: curtains, chair upholstery, bed covers, and wall hangings. Originating in 18th-century France, it is famous for its pastoral scenes, bucolic landscapes, and botanical motifs, printed with precise narrative detail.
The print features rural landscapes and plant motifs, drawn with fine lines in shades of blue on a white background. Distant figures, trees, and rolling hills appear delicate, as if seen through a distant memory.
This is a fabric that does not dictate a reading. It invites you instead to get lost in the lines, to follow them, and to imagine what happens just beyond the frame.
Construction and Fit
The base is a vintage Lee jacket, chosen for its authentic structure and worn-in character. The toile de Jouy insert is applied by hand, creating a quiet dialogue between the denim and printed cotton.
The result is a natural balance: durability and delicacy, everyday use and imagination.
The fit is classic and comfortable, designed to accompany the body without rigidity. This is a jacket to live in, to layer, and to let age gracefully over time.
