About

The future is made of memory.

Sicomoro Studio is a space for textile and visual research.
A place where vintage garments, recovered denim and fabrics sourced from archives and different cultures are selected, transformed and returned to the body as one-of-a-kind pieces, designed to endure over time.

We work with what already exists because we believe in the value of memory.
In the time embedded in fabrics.
In stories that continue, rather than being erased.

From archive to body.
From fabric to identity.

Our work is born from the meeting of structure and visual intensity:
the discipline of denim and the energy of color,
the solidity of workwear and the complexity of patterns.

At the heart of Sicomoro Studio lies a deep attention to textiles:
fabrics originally created for other purposes — curtains, tapestries, cloths, domestic interiors — or rooted in cultural contexts far from fashion, removed from their original function and reinterpreted as wearable surfaces.

We explore textiles with long, layered histories:
batik, shaped by slow and ritual time;
tapestry, woven, structural and protective;
toile de Jouy, built from landscapes and memory;
patterns that travel across geographies, carrying symbols, rhythms and visual codes.

Color is not decoration.
It is presence.

For us, color is never decorative.
It is presence, choice, declaration.
An element capable of transforming denim into an expressive, living surface — never neutral.

Sicomoro Studio was born from the desire to explore different ideas of beauty, without hierarchies or rigid definitions.
A journey that began early, through the observation of textures, colors and surfaces as tools to read the world and give form to ever-evolving identities.

Experimentation with materials has always been our natural language:
to transform, assemble and layer is a way to make visible what is complex, imperfect and alive.

Two principles guide every choice we make:
a constant attention to the transformation of forms and materials,
and a deep respect for the rhythms of nature, its cycles and its traces.

Garments that resist time, and move through it.

Sicomoro Studio envisions pieces that accompany those who wear them over time, across seasons, places and experiences.
Objects to be lived in, not consumed.
Quiet presences that gather meaning, day after day.

We like to think that the deepest meaning of this work is to one day meet someone in the street and recognize in that garment a traveling companion:
a chosen sign, lived in, part of an unmistakable personal signature.
